CSC Study: Consumer Technology Will Drive Corporate IT Agenda

Schrijver:

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC)

Samenvatting:

The blurring of lines between corporate IT and consumer technology will allow employees to drive IT innovation in the future, and this "consumerization" will lower costs and improve functionality, says a study by CSC's Research & Advisory Services.

The consumerization of IT is spurred by the proliferation of high-end consumer technology such as PDAs, MP3 players and Smartphones — dual-use devices that have business utility as well. CSC's Research & Advisory Services embarked upon the consumerization study in order to assess the need for IT departments to rethink their investments and strategies in light of this trend.
